Oil price ubridled

Government is keeping in mind election due next year and hence distributing the government earning as charity. Expenses are growing whereas revenue earnings are being sacrificed to gain cheap popularity. Great economists like Chidambram and Manmohan Singh are dancing in the tunes of shrewd, greedy and dirty politicians and it is they who have spoilt the health of Indian economy.

On the one hand huge burden has to come on government exchequer by way of sixth pay commission recommendations, agriculture loan waiver schemes and various subsidies announced in the budget, on the other the same government is causing revenue loss by announcing different duty cuts and tax rebates to curb rising inflation. Obviously revenue loss and fiscal deficit will grow beyond control and there is no doubt that present ruling government under the banner of Congress Party is digging grave for future government likely to be formed under the banner of BJP. It iwill not be an exaggeration to say that Congress Party has made mockery of budget they presented only a quarter ago.

I think even the NDA government headed by BJP likely to come in 2009 will not be able to dilute the irreparable damage caused by the present rulers. Left parties support the government on all right or wrong policies of the Congress Party in private room and they protest the same, the moment they come before in the public. This dual policy of the left parties will prove costly not only for Congress Party but also for leftists in the next election. And as long as voters support left parties , their fate cannot change from bad to good. AS also prices cannot come down under the rule headed by Congress Party.

Anyway the present government has lost its moral right to continue in the government and Left parties has no moral right now to hold demonstration or public rally in protest against rise in fuel prices announced on 4th June 08.Not general mass treat leftists as jokers playing in the circus of politics and Congress head Sri Manmohan Singh dancing as puppet in the hands of sycophants of Sonia.

It is true that when global price of fuel is increasing, Indian government cannot stop rise of the same for long period. But it is again the fault of the present government who for last four years thought it fit to remain silent spectator of unbridled rise in crude oil prices. The problem could not have remained so grave and critical as it is today had the government resorted to price rise in fuel sector every quarter during last fours years of their rule in line with price rise in crude oil. (They talk of liberalization but in fact they decide the fate of oil companies as they used to decide before 1991 under regulated price regime.)

But unfortunately government as usual took no time to drop the price down two years ago under the pressure of left parties when crude oil prices came down but failed to announce similar rise in fuel prices as and when prices of crude oil went up in global market. They are reaping the harvest as they saw before. It is entirely the fault of the present government and they are responsible for the mess caused in the economy.

Mr. Manmohan or Mr., Chidambram cannot escape the responsibility for irregularities in the economy persisting and growing as cancer. Undoubtedly the successor government at centre will face the brunt of voters.
